Emotional Roller-Coasters & Rainbow Linings

The past few weeks have been hectic!

& I can not even begin to imagine or explain the number of things I have went through! but to just give you a summary for now, and save the details for a later juicy YouTube video;

- Opening up in a relationship or with a potential about your intricate details concerning the past & exes->Big MISTAKE

- Revealing your traumatic experiences ->BIG MISTAKE

I would so much love to pour out my emotions but the philosophical me and the mantras I strictly follow remind me constantly that; what you can control, you have power over & what you can not control, you have no power over.

So despite the emotional scars faced in the past weeks and re-living closed wounds of failed relationships, I decided to put some much needed focus on finally starting my YouTube channel and taking some time out by crossing out items on my bucket list!

Year 2019 started & I recall sitting down, as usual reflecting and drawing out my notepad - writing the things I wanted dearly to do - that did not concern my personal development goals and one of these was; visiting the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe.

I have always been fascinated by art - and even though mine is more leaned on the writing side, the conceptual and practical side of it is captivating to my soul and strikes interest as well as emotions.

Looking at the many different paintings, sculptures and written poems, I could not help but feel the depths of the possible feelings each artist must have went through, as they created their master pieces.

Was it love? Death? Pain? Hunger? That may have been the pushing factors for the way their brushes painted canvas' of different colors - filled with intense emotions of what they were trying to express in that moment in time.

How do I explain this to you - for with each painting, sculpture and ornament there came with it a different interpretation and feeling.

I reflected with each piece of art that caught my attention and swam in the deep sea of my mind, trying to connect why I associated any feelings I encountered with a particular painting & each thought-line was interesting.

If you have a chance to - if you would love to, check the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe out. The entrance fee is very much affordable - $3RTGS/Bond Note for adults and there is a cafe called ArtiSana you will absolutely love! & of course you know I had to stop by and get some food!

You may be wondering why I titled this article - Emotional Roller-Coasters and Rainbow Linings & the reason is during the week when my days were dark, good things managed to happen in between and I saw a rainbow for the first time in forever! That to me was a simple metaphor; It will get better, you will be happy, you will get what you deserve, pain does not last forever - just as the dark days don't. There is HOPE .... There is LIGHT ....

& so as I wrap up today’s post take some time to RELAX & breathe, hard times do not last forever, feed into yourself and your goals, make yourself a priority - things will fall into place, eventually & never forget to do something you have always wanted to do!
