Before It's Too Late

In many cases we tend to think we still have time - time with our loved ones, time to repent, time to progress, time to change and basically time to do whatever it is we want to do.

But do we really?

The hard-core reality is we might have time, but time is not on our side and the question you should always ask yourself is will it ever be?

Time is essential of course but I have come to realize that we spend our time doing things (other things) that seem as if they are important and then later on wish we should had done something else when we still had the time, chance and or the opportunity.

We are all so busy with our own lives and at times forget to acknowledge the people that gave us life, many of us prioritize work, our spouses, our children and friends more than we prioritize God, our parents, guardians and or just the people in our lives that may not even be immediate.

As previously mentioned above, it can even be someone not so close to us that we are failing to give 2 minutes or more of our time to. Sometimes it could be ignorance, in the sense that one may fail to merely pay attention to a neighbor in distress or fail to pay attention to something as large as what is affecting the society or the community.

I can tell you now that life is too short but you wouldn't understand it because even I don't understand that notion. I've come to think of how short life is by simply narrating it as; those who are dead or are on their death beds are possibly the only ones who can fully interpret this statement.

Now see there comes a certain point in life when you begin to reflect on your past - when the things that happen in this world affect you - when you tend to not be ignorant of the harsh realities of the world. For death becomes a reminder that you and the people around you are more than lucky to be alive.

It is at that point is when as an individual you would have grown particularly in the area of being appreciative: of life and the people that matter in your life.

To be loved is one of the greatest achievement any human being could ever attain, yes but do you also love back!? Do you give back your time, energy, efforts to what is and who is necessary? Why do we have to always think that to show a person that we love them we have to buy them a gift or something? Love can be expressed in many ways more than one, how about you call your parents? Just so you can find out how they are? Not only them but your siblings, your aunts, your uncles, your nieces and nephews?

How about reaching out to a stranger and or a street kid! Help brighten up their day by just giving them food or clothes that you don't use anymore?

We are way better than the choices we make at times. That I surely believe!

I remember when I was in secondary school, me and my friend were coming from school and it so happened that there was a man who stopped us and asked us to help this blind lady to cross the road, I do not want to lie neither of us helped the lady, we looked at each other, ignored the man and continued with our journey.

I always look back on that day and every time I do, I promise myself that I will try and help anyone in any way possible - for looking back at that moment in time - we both failed to be compassionate and failed dismally at showing the spirit of UBUNTU.

An Act of Random Kindness a Day Is All It Takes.

Let us love while we still can, let us be kind while we still can, let us forgive and try to forget when we still can but most importantly let us not forget our parents, our family, our communities and GOD.

Before it’s too late, begin now

Begin now to change into that person that you have always wanted to be, begin now to treat people differently because it only takes one time to die!

Milliseconds even, a blink of an eye and you or them are no more!

So what are you waiting for?
